Is Mason Greenwood returning to wear shirt number 7?

Mason Greenwood was handed the number 11 shirt at Manchester United for the 2020-21 season. When he was an 18-year-old, he wore the number 26 shirt until he had a superb breakthrough season at Old Trafford last term as he scored 17 goals in all competitions for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. Greenwood’s superb form saw him called up by England manager Gareth Southgate for September’s international fixtures. Unfortunately, his career is now threatened by legal battles over his ex accusations. If prison sentence evades the suspended forward, winger Greenwood is expected to play a key role in ten hag’s United first-team squad next season. Since Ronaldo is gone, it means Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Greenwood could wear the numbers 9, 10 and 7 Greenwood’s potential number change means United’s exciting front three of Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood may be wearing the numbers 9, 10 and 7 respectively. Under Ole Solskjaer, the Red Devils opted not to give Greenwood the infamous number seven shirt, which has been worn by the likes of David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo in the past.source;
